Irving PAL gives opportunities to kids they would not otherwise have.
Kids not only travel regionally to showcase their abilities, but state and nationwide as well.
Coaches leave long lasting impressions which pay dividends in the kids' lives.
Volunteers influence kids not only to give more to the program, but to the community.
Older kids, aged out of the program, return to coach and mentor the younger ones.

Irving PAL's program built on
Trust - Relationship - Accountability - Influence - Life Skills

Irving PAL Participates In
First Ever Hunting Trip Saturday, February 19th
(3.3.11)

The trip took place in East Texas (Mabank) in partnership with the State of Texas Game Wardens and their youth organization.  Our PAL hunters were comprised mostly of kids who attended our Hunter Education Course.  The PAL participants hunted for wild hogs on over a thousand acres of privately owned land.  The hogs continue to be a daily nuisance to the landowners destroying their crops and farm land.

There were over 70 people attending the event, 45 of them coming from the PAL.  There were a total of 17 PAL hunters (14 were "first time" hunters).  Three PAL hunting groups were successful in shooting a hog and are photographed below.  All hogs were processed and taken home by the hunters.
